Like previous years, traffic disturbance can be expected during the race.
The race starts and ends in Laugardalur valley by the ice rink. Here you can see race maps. The first start is at 21:00 and all runners are expected to be at the finish line by midnight. Traffic will be disturbed during the race so runners, drivers and other pedestrians should take caution.
Closed roads
These roads will be closed during the race on June 19th 2024:
- Engjavegur closed from Laugardalshöll to Suðurlandsbraut from kl. 20:40 – 22:10
- Engjavegur closed from Reykjavegur to Laugardalshöll from kl. 20:40 - 22:10
- Reykjavegur closed from roundabout by Engjavegur /Sigtún to Sundlaugarvegur between 21:10-21:50
- Gnoðarvogur closed from Engjavegur to Skeiðarvogur kl. 20:50 - 21:20
- Gnoðarvogur closed from Engjavegur 20:50 – 00:00
- Álfheimar closed north between Suðurlandsbraut and Gnoðarvogur kl. 20:50 – 00:00
- Skeiðarvogur closed to north between Suðurlandsbraut and Gnoðarvogur kl. 20:50 – 00:00
- Skeiðarvogur closed to south Suðurlandsbraut and Sogavegur kl: 20:50 – 21:25
- Sogavegur closed between Réttarholtsvegur and Bústaðarvegur kl: 20:55 – 21:35
- Sævarhöfði closed between Svarthöfði and Bíldshöfði kl: 21:40 – 23:45
- Bíldshöfði closed between Sævarhöfða to west kl: 21:40 – 23:45

Where you can expect traffic disturbance:
- Vallarás and Selásbraut kl: 21:20 – 23:00
- Rafstöðvarvegur kl: 21:40 – 23:45
- Sunnuvegur and Holtavegur kl: 21:15 – 22:00
Parking
We recommend for participants and spectators to park in these areas:
- By Laugardalsvöllur.
- On Suðurlandsbraut - the parking area there is usually quite empty after 18:00
- By KFUM and KFUMK building on Holtavegur and Langholtsskóli.
